Original Intentions
I intend for my music magazine to focus on new and upcoming artists that lie within the genres of mainly rock and pop. My magazine will also have a focus on music from around the world, and will be aimed at a British audience. My projected audience's age range is that of ages 12-22, so quite young. I chose to aim at a younger audience as they are probably more open to different or alternative styles of music. With this in mind, I have decided to name my magazine 'New World', stylised as 'nu.wrld.' I chose this name as it not only relates to my subject matter but it also has graphology reminiscent of a computer file name or a textism. This should resonate with my audience as they are younger and more integrated with modern technology.
Title Logo Variations
These are a couple variations of the experiments in font. I chose them because they felt modern and fit in with the feel that I was going for in the magazine. I went with a circular theme, adding circles into the font on the left, and adding a circle in the empty space on the variation on the left.
Final Title Logo Design
I chose this as my final design, using the font 'Gill Sans Ultra Bold'. The circles incorporated into the text felt modern and minimalist, and I feel that it fit in with the feeling that I am trying to create within my magazine.
Page Size
I have chosen to use a 3930x6000 pixel ratio for my magazine. I chose this as the high PPI will not sacrifice the quality of the images I use, and I have researched that this ratio is acceptable for print.

Layout Plan
Using the 3930x6000 pixel ratio, I created a plan of what the layout of my front cover page may look like. I used the research that I have done to create a design that would fit in with the modern magazine layout standards of today. Although this plan looks quite busy, I will make it look much more clean and professional when making the final design. I must also choose a house style in terms of font for my headings, sub-headings and body text. I plan to use only one image on my front cover page, as using too many will make the page look cluttered.
I think this design will be concise, informative and easy for the reader to follow due to its familiar design.
I am quite happy with this plan as it was well-informed by my research, and I am using it as a basis for my final cover page.
For the two-page spread, I intend to use a minimalist design as seen in my research, using one main image on the left page.
